Columbus Rotary Scholarship in Honor of Judson Erne:

Established by the Columbus Rotary Club to honor club member Judson S. Erne,  former principal of Columbus High School,  for his many years of devotion to Bartholomew County – within the educational community as well as the social services community.

Criteria:

Graduating Senior from any Bartholomew County high school pursuing a post-secondary education,  attending a college, university or technical school with the desire to pursue a degree in any of the following areas:  education,  divinity,  nursing or social work.  Applicants must have a 5.0 GPA on a 12.0 scale or a 2.0 on a 4.0 scale,  have been a member of a school sponsored service organization and participated in community service (school and non-school sponsored) throughout high school.

Application Requirements:

Columbus Rotary Scholarship Application,  most recent official high school transcript,  a one page essay on the importance of community service,  and a character recommendation from a teacher,  counselor,  clergy or staff person form the organization for which you perform community service. Application process is handled by the Heritage Fund.
